Peterborough Keys Multi Academy Trust

For Trust leaders, the real challenge isn’t accessing assessment data. It’s transforming that data into a clear improvement strategy that delivers impact across multiple schools.

Our work with Peterborough Keys Multi Academy Trust demonstrates the value of our Question Level Analysis (QLA). By providing detailed analysis of KS2 outcomes, we helped leaders identify areas of weakness within cohorts, establish Trust-wide priorities and inform future curriculum and teaching decisions.

That’s where DAISI Education’s Trust reports and Question Level Analysis (QLA) helped to make a real difference. By bringing together detailed KS2 SATs analysis from across a Trust, we provided leaders with a clear picture of curriculum strengths, emerging trends, achievement gaps and areas requiring targeted support.

This enabled the trust to move beyond individual school performance and identify priorities that will have the greatest impact across their whole organisation. The result was a shared understanding of priorities, greater consistency between schools and a more evidence-informed approach to raising standards

How did we create this Analysis?

The KS2 SATs provide annual, detailed insights into student strengths and weaknesses, with results broken down by individual questions. These standardized, independently marked assessments offer valuable data for improving school performance.

Our Question Level Analysis aggregates this assessment data by topics and cohorts, rather than individual answers, revealing patterns that can drive meaningful change across your school.

The process outlined below shows how we did this…

  1. Data Collection: Each academy downloaded their data direct from Analyse School Performance and sent it to us.  The results are made available every year by the DfE – broken down to each individual question.
  2. Forensic Analysis: Our team conducted a detailed analysis of the results. This included identifying trends, pinpointing areas of strength and weakness, and comparing performance across different groups of students.
  3. Individual Report for every Headteacher: We compiled the findings into comprehensive reports. These reports included visual aids like charts and graphs to make the data easy to understand and interpret plus our Individual Pupil Profiles to enable intervention strategies to be created.
  4. Actionable Insights: The reports provided actionable insights, such as specific areas where students need additional support, effective teaching strategies, and recommendations for curriculum adjustments.
  5. Higher Level Summary for Trust Assessment Leads: We then collated all the results into the FREE summary report for the school improvement team, facilitating discussions on how to implement the findings. This collaborative approach ensured that the insights are used to inform teaching practices and improve student outcomes.

By following this process, we were able to provide valuable insights that focus on what matters most – supporting every pupil to realise their potential.
